Anna

All photos by Anna

Relatively speaking, I haven't really been in this whole clothes making and selling business for very long. Apart from the nice conversations I often get to have with customers on etsy (about customising garments, sizing suggestions etc.) I don't really know who my customers are! I guess that's kind of the obvious thing about selling online, but I do get curious about my customers sometimes. Who are they? Where do they wear their new dresses? Do they like the things that I make them? (That's the nerve racking question that I ask myself all to often!)

I recently found out that one lovely customer of mine is a photographer, when she told me she planned to photograph one of the dresses I made her. Her name is Anna and she lives in Sweden. The really awesome part of this little story is that I really like her work! Through my business I was able to find something new that I find inspiring. And she is from the absolute other side of the world! Sometimes I get bogged down in internet overload and I forget just how awesome the internet is, and how it can connect you with the world in such amazing ways. I mean, someone from Sweden found my designs, liked them, bought some, now she owns some dresses that I made with my own two hands, and I got to discover her photography and work through that connection! Anyway, I wanted to share some photos of hers that have made their way to my desktop lately. You can check out more of her work on her blog here.

In other awesome news, I was incredibly excited to see the beautiful Rhiannon wearing the Lucy dress I made for her! I think this is the first time I've seen someone wearing my designs (other than a few close friends) and it's a pretty wonderful feeling. Quite surreal! Seeing springtime photos of the South as usual makes me want to go back to America so bad. I think driving through the South might be one of my absolute favourite memories from my trip. The countryside was so ridiculously pretty, it imprinted itself on my brain!
