Graveyard Virgins (dress!)

Hannah Metz has been an internet favourite and a huge style inspiration for me for several years now. I first discovered her work through her amazing blog, and followed along as she raised funds and launched her very own lingerie line and vintage store. Being able to watch the progress of this venture has been incredibly inspiring. The path to success for Hannah felt to me both down to earth and relatable (appealing on Kickstarter for the funds to launch her first lingerie range) and at the same time so professional and downright impressive; the design of her products and website, and the execution of the whole enterprise is just beautiful. Hannah definitely helped to motivate me to finally start my own business; her honesty she made me feel like it was achievable, while at the same time the quality of her work encourages me to try and do better and make my work the best possible quality I can, and to constantly try and improve on it.

I think the main reason why I find Hannah's internet presence and work so inspiring though personally is the way in which she makes you feel like she carries her personal aesthetic and creative ideals throughout her life. She has the most amazing style! I love the way she dresses so much, and the way everything she wears, no matter what it is, seems to fit with her look perfectly. (This I assume must surely have something to do with the lady herself being very self possessed and lending those perfect Hannah qualities to the clothes through wear. I'm quite sure she would look good in anything she put on!) I also read in this interview that she prefers to stick solely to buying second-hand and locally manufactured clothing, which I think is a truly wonderful ideal! Her and her husband's apartment is also amazing, and has that same perfect look to it.

Needless to say, seeing these beautiful photos of Hannah in my Virgins dress is just a tad thrilling to me! They were taken in a graveyard in connecticut, and Hannah even made a playlist to go with them. You can see the full post here on Hannah's lovely blog (which if you haven't already read through I highly recommend! Make yourself a nice pot of tea and settle in for some inspiring reading :D)
