Higher Than the Tree Tops

Back on Easter weekend two of my dearest ladies, my favourite fellow and I took a drive out to the Yarra Valley for the day. After some Op Shop scavenging and a drowsiness-inducing lunch by the fire in a country pub we decided to round off our day with a visit to the Maroondah Dam. Though we amused ourselves with creepy thoughts of the dam wall collapsing, the view from the top was pretty incredible, and the surrounding park was English garden worthy. A beautiful end to a perfect day!

The cold seems to have well and truly set in here in Melbourne now, and Sam and I have been living it up. We've become near hermits the last week or two, spending many a night curled up on the couch with a blanket and snuggles, chilli pie or a hot bowl of soup, and the latest episodes of Game of Thrones and Mad Men. Winter, I think I may be ready for you!
