Summer Photoshoot Behind the Scenes

I just got back from three glorious days camping at Wilson's Promontory, where I went with some of my favourite gals in the world to shoot the new Frances Baker Summer collection lookbook. We decided to go to Wilson's Prom because I really wanted to get more of an Australian vibe into the lookbook this time, and I feel like the Prom has some truly dramatic and amazing scenery, it's one of my favourite places in the world! We ended up having great luck with the weather, and while we were working, we were all having so much fun that it felt like a real holiday.

When the shoot was finally done, I got a bit giddy with excitement and went for a swim in my dress, which promptly disintegrated (not one of my own creations!) I haven't had a day off in the last two months, and it was a truly amazing feeling to see so much work coming together. I also feel so incredibly lucky to have such special friends to work with. Of the five ladies who came with me, I have known three since childhood, and all five are incredibly important people in my life. Being able to get together and work creatively with them is just the most amazing experience. So thank you so much Hannah, Kate, Aoife, Sarah, and Mim for everything, and I can't wait to share the results of our hard work!

Our beautiful model Aoife, who also interns with me one day a week. This girl is amazingly talented, she is going to get a post of her own!

  1. I'm ashamed to say I've never been to Wilson's Prom, everyone always goes on about how beautiful it is so I had better eventually. Guess I never went as a kid because the parents aren't into camping! Can't wait to see the summer look book!
